Carol's Story
Life
I happened upon this tool to reconnect with people from my youth. I posted my name on a whim, not expecting anything,so I was tickled to death, to have Mary Hoffmann see my name and contact me. It sparked my interest to pursue it further. I left New Rochelle High School during the summer after 11th grade. I moved to Somers, in upper Westchester County, and graduated from Somers High School. I was already working during my senior year, so when my parents moved to Connecticut, I stayed behind and worked for about a year. When the place where I was working went out of business, I moved to CT and attended the University of Hartford, majoring in Psychology.

t a CT state psychiatric hospital in 1982. I pursued an interest in a specialty of substance abuse treatment (wow-that came from out of the blue- no childhood issues being played out there!). I got my Masters Degree in Social Work in 1989, the same year that my son, Jeremiah was born. I have worked for the State of Connecticut for almost 25 years now. Currently, as the Director of Social Work at the State Veterans Facility. I bought my first home in May of 2004, after owning a Condo for about 18 years. Wow, it's a lot to stay on top of. I'm still settling in, even after this much time. Some days, I wonder what I was thinking of to take on so much. Anyway....God doesn't give you more than you can handle and what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
