Carolann's Story
Since leaving High School I have had a world of experiences but God has
always been there to help guide me. Sometimes I didn't listen and made
my own choices and they weren't always good. I started writing childrens
books, doing child care, sold Avon and Amway for years while my children
were growing up. Once in school I went to school and work but in the end
I worked for the State of California in several positions. Started as a
Clerk then to an Unemployment Specialist, then a manager and Employment
Program Specialist. Worked in Hemet, Palm Springs, Corona, Escondido,
Mira Mar, San Diego, Moreno Valley, Temecula, San Bernardino, Anaheim,
Riverside and Sacramento, But only had three main office that I worked
from. I traveled to the other office to help, train and share my
knowledge of the system. I Developed a progr...Expand for more
am that the State started to
use as part of there system. My 27 years with the State, now retired, I
was a trainer, teacher, specialist in several programs but the one that
was the best outstation was Sacramento, working with the Director of
Unemployment and Job Service on a 6 month project. I gained a lot of
experience and knowledge from this experience. I retired in 2008 with an
impecciable record of service and honors. While growing up I always wanted
to be a nurse, well went to school for being an RN but this job found me
first but the knowledge from that incurred the use of this knowledge to
work my 27 years also as Emergency and First Aide Coordinator. So the
schooling did not go to waste. I also went to National University and become a paralegal and tax advisor. Worked with the courts in Riverside and San Diego.
