Carole's Story
I hope that they will remember me as being fun.
It was such a carefree era that one could not help but be very lighthearted, at least most of us were. Sadly, we might not have been as empathetic to others not in similar situations. The other quality is loyalty. I have had many of my h.s. friends for over 60 years.
I might have taken h.s. more seriously and tried out for plays, etc.
I have no idea..
I taught auto mechanics at the local h.s. for about 6 months..gave the boys final exams, etc.
Not too many surprises..maybe the fact that I was a high school teacher and also a public librarian for many years.
She is Carolyn Chandler. We lived near each othe and had October birthdays. My other friend was Pat Miller who lived two houses away. Both "girls" I am still in contact with...
My first job was at Kelly Girl, where I got paid 3.00 an hour to answer phones around a swimming poll.. What I remember most about it is I wore my bathing suit to work.
In 10 years, I hope to be enjoying all my grandchildren. I'm going to get there by taking good care of myself.
Not very athletic...getting good jobs were my main victories and raising four children successfully.
