Carole's Story

Life I graduated from Concordia Jr College, Bronxville, NY, as a Medical Secretary in 1963. Worked at Nassau Hospital in the Cancer Research Dept. I married Don Ferguson in 1965-we're still together & happy. We spent 22yrs in the Army. We have 2 sons,4 granddaughters,1 grandson and 5 cats. We lived in Carlisle, PA where I had an antique business for many years & we had a restaurant/tavern that kept Don busy following his retirement from the Army and local government. llages (south of Ocala, north of Orlando) in central Florida, moving here in Oct. 2003. I love to golf and read. A friend and I started an animal rescue group so our home is usually full of kittens and cats. Our organization is becoming more and more well-known and the work is so rewarding. We are a fully licensed non-profit (definitely non-profit) organization and work with Petco. I would love to hear from you - after all these years I am sure we can find something to say to each other!!

Guess where we are today.
Only 14 hrs and 22 minutes later we are leaving. It was a fun filled day. Entered the Haunted House at 11:59 so we were in there at midnight. Made it special.
Oh my goodness! Granddaughter #3, our wonderful Cate, turns into a teenager today! Happy Birthday, Cate. Have a wonderful trip through your teen years.
Doug and I decided to run into NYC today. What a wonderful day. WTC Memorial and museum were beyond expectations. Lots of time spent with tear-filled eyes.

103 degrees in Ocala today. And this was after I was driving a few miles so it's not "parking lot" heat. Un-friggin-believable. Cuz Marlene and I tried to stay "instores" most of the afternoon.

My goal was to lose 10 lbs this year. I lost 8 and after stepping onto the scale today I only have 5 more to go.
I took 50 years but I finally got Jimmy Clanton's autograph on my rock & roll show program from Feb 22, 1960!! (And a hug and a kiss and lots of nice conversation.) Never throw anything away -
