Caroline's Story
Hmmm...hard to start this!
After high school, I had a VERY short stint in the USAF---about, oh, three weeks worth total. Stayed in Texas for a couple of months, which was more than enough for me. Moved up to Longview, Wa to stay with my since-kindergarten friend, Sue Koontz. Met my future husband a short time later, so have been stuck in the Western Washington wetlands ever since! Andy and I got married in April, 1972. Our first daughter, Laurelle Rain (Laurie) was born in May, 1973 (whew...!). I was a stay-at-home Mom for several years. say so myself, I was very good at it!
In Feb. 2000, I caught a strange virus and ended up with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I managed to keep working until Sept. 2003 and then could no longer keep up with the job. The life change was traumatic, believe me.
Andy is now retired, too, so we're both homebodies these days. We celebrated our 37th anniversary this year, and our kids are close by, as well as our two grandkids, Sage and Ava. Now the only "kids" here at home are my English Bulldog, Lady Harley, and our part-Maine Coon cat, Jazzy. Fortunately, they don't fight like the other two kids did!
I just proofed this and it's enough to put someone to sleep... Ho hum, I have SUCH an exciting life!
