Carolyn's Story

Life I wasn't actually lucky enough to graduate from Liberty because my dad was quickly re-located to Balitmore, Md which was quite a transition from itty bitty Salem with no stop lights compared to Big Baltimore. At least we moved into the county and not city. The neighborhood was great in welcoming us "hicks" they loved our accents, which I no longer have and we all made friends quickly. I moved right before the end of my 9th year at Salem Jr. High. I'm hoping to catch up with some old friends that I never really had time to say good-bye to or keep in touch with; Tammy Blake, Marcy & Alicia Stout, Paco, Tammy W.,Julia, Julie, Tina, Gretchen and whoever else I may be missing. I'm still living in Baltimore and graduated in 1986 here. I had a brief marriage, was a military wife a couple years in Germany, we have a son who's now 16 years old and can't be more proud of (although he's being the "typical" teenager, right now). I never remarried but just ended a 9year relationship and just enjoying life now. I bought my own home 3 years ago and have been working for a sales and marketing company for the past 9 years. In my younger years I started out in retail then worked at a few law firms. I love going to country concerts in my spare time (just saw Tim McGraw!) and try to work out 3days a week. I'm only 2 1/2hrs from Ocean City so we go to the beach a few times a year. My sister Helen, who you would know, lives 1 1/2 east of me so I visit her often, she has 4 girls and 1 boy, the oldest girl 16 and stair step down from there. We were actually pregnant the same time, she was 4weeks behind me. Well, that's it in a nutshell. If any of my old friends see this I hope you can drop...Expand for more
me a line and tell everyone else I said "Hi", I did see Tammy B. once while I was in town visiting my parents who moved back when they retired, it was cool to run into her again! Take care! I miss you gals and think about you often! LOL School Well, my grade school, Van Horn was cool because I enjoyed being in the Nature club, then in the gymnastics club. Salem Jr. High was great because I really enjoyed spending time with my friends those few years and gave a shot at the volleyball team, Oh, we were aweful, but had fun with it. The worst experience in Jr. High was playing dodge ball in gym and Shannon Wilson and I were on opposite sides and neither one of us stopped when we both went to grab the ball at the same time, we crashed and down I went, I broke my collar bone. Ms. Hilton thought I was joking because I was afraid to get up at first, then she saw the bone pertruding. Shannon felt bad, so she helped me put my jeans back on in the locker room, which we all wore them very tight back them! As far as High School, it wasn't easy going from itty bitty Salem Jr. High to Baltimore Marylands Kenwood High, that was a drastic change but I had made many friends in the neighborhood already which went to the same school. The only thing I regret in High school was getting to wrapped up in a boyfriend and not persuing more of my own interest and hobbies. I had said in my little "dreams and goals" statement in the yearbook that I wanted to become a legal secretary. I did work for a couple lawyers in the following years which I enjoyed for a while but realized it wasn't for me. I have been contently working for a sales and marketing company for the past 9 years.
