Carolyn's Story
Well, I moved to San Francisco in 1976 and got married and had 2 children there. Then, when my dad was dying of cancer I moved back up here and ended up staying. That was in 1991. I got married again and had 2 more children. Now I am single again, and live in Darrington. It is beautiful here; it snows a lot in the winter, but it is gorgeous in the summer. I work at Boeing as an electrician on the 777 line, and love my job. It is really interesting, and it's a blast. If you know me, you know I try to have fun where ever I am. That hasn't changed! t is getting colder here in Washington every year.
When I was in high school I made a wish to live in the mountains and have lots of kids. I never thought I'd get my wish! Now here I am, although all my kids aren't living with me, of course (thank God!!!) but I am living in the mountains! Of course I forgot all about the wish, and one night I was laying on my bed, and I suddenly remembered making that wish on that long ago night in my basement when I was in high school. It was like an epiphany! So be careful what you wish for, you just might get it! I'm still making wishes, but not for any more kids!!!
