Carolyn's Story
Life
High School feels like yesterday! We have a High School senior of our own and two currently in college, so we're reliving it all thru them! We have a great family and have tons of fun with all our old friends regularly, just enjoying our 40's with all that life brings. "Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way."
School
High school can be a rough time in our lives. I can't say I didn't have my ups and downs, however, I have only good memories of my time at Loara High School. h of you, in some way, has led me to be the person I am today. I can only hope that my own children get to experience half of what we did in high school! I say "half" because I'm hoping that they'll avoid all the unmentionable stuff that we were involved in!
Workplace
Let's See... I think it was Baskin Robbins, Clenet Cleaners, then Togo's, I actually avoided flipping burgers! Those were the days, FREE ice cream to friends, FREE dry cleaning, and FREE sandwiches & beer after closing!! I couldn't have had a better time. Then the real world sucked me in, and then with a child, I got a real job at a property management firm, went to Medical Assisting school, just to try something different, and ended up finding my true calling! I love working in the health/medical field, but I mostly love working with children. I currently work in the school nurses office and I couldn't be happier. The school schedule enables me to be home with my own kids, which I think is my most important job yet!
