Mickie's Story
Life
Hello! After graduating high school I went to OU, got a degree in elementary education, and graduated in 1991. I started teaching in Pickerington and working on my Masters. During which time I met my husband and married in 1995. In 1996 I graduated with a degree in Instruction and had my first girl, Morgan. Brian and I bought a house in Pickerington and and another girl in 1998, Miranda. Teaching and living in the same school district wasn't for me so in 2001 we bought 10 acres in Orient, Ohio and loved it. Horses, barns, a pond. It was beautiful! However all things change! sold in June, Brian moved down to Charlotte, and we moved in with my parents in Baltimore. I thought staying here and teaching one more year would be the best for retirement, boy was I wrong! We hated being apart, so, the girls and I moved down here to Charlotte in Dec.2005 to be with Brian. It was very difficult leaving a teaching position thast I had been in for 15 years, but on the other side very exciting to start a new chapter in our lives in a new area! Plus, I now get to be a stay at home mom and do things with my kids that I have never had the opportunity to do, thanks to my wonderful husband Brian! Hopefully we'll be able to make it home for the reunion in June 2006! Hope to see you there! Love, M
