Carolyn's Story
We went on a Caribbean Cruise in Jan. 2010. What a blast! See photos
I was married October 22 and December 12, 2005. Our wedding was set for December 12th, but we both decided we didn't want to wait, so we eloped in October. We still had our big wedding in December, and I was blessed to have my Dad walk me down the aisle. He passed away 3 months later. My Mom passed away in 2003, so she never even got to meet my husband.
Also, in June of 2005, I found out I had breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy on July 13, and my future husband was right there at the hospital with me. As a matter of fact, it was the first time he told me he loved me.
I'm a homemaker who does some occasional work with a photographer. We have a beautiful daughter, 5 beautiful granddaughters, and 8 great grandsons and one great granddaughter (Finally!). My hubby drives a truck, so I've seen a bit more of the country. We still act like newlyweds. :-) He is a wonderful husband--definitely worth waiting 50 years for!
I am a member of Legacy Community Church in Junction City, and am so blessed to have Jesus in my life.
We have 2 big dogs who are lots of fun,...Expand for more
but are very protective of us both.
I love watching CSI, Law & Order CI, Law & Order SVU, Numbers and Criminal Minds. I also enjoy playing computer games online. I have met people from so many different places in the United States and the world. It's a blast!
I enjoyed spending time with my best friend and her family. Her husband was the Pastor at Legacy Church for the last 7 1/2 years, but they've recently moved back to Arizona leaving a big void in my heart.
I wouldn't mind going back to work part time, but it's not a must, and I'm kind of enjoying not having to work.
In March of 2008 I had an operation on my neck. I had degenerative disks in 3 places in my neck. They cut me open in the front and put cadaver bone in between 5 & 6 and 6 & 7. My neck feels better, but I am still seeing a pain management doctor. Ah well, I guess we start to fall apart as we age. :-)
I almost forgot, about 2 years ago, my sister bought me a scratch-off lottery ticket, and I won $75,000.00. No that's not a typo it is seventy-five thousand. Oh my gosh, it was very exciting. We now have a couple of IRA's, the house is paid, and the car is paid.
