Carolyn's Story
I always wanted to be a person who traveled when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
How do I blow off steam. Sometime I holler but mostly I take a nice long drive, listen to soft music and/or journal my feelings.
The wildest thing I ever did in school? Well when I really think about it I guess with my parents you really did not do anything wild. I had a lot of fun we skated, had parties, amusement parks & rides, beach parties, movies, dating etc... the usual. It was all good clean fun. HA HA (smile) somethings tho I'll never tell.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have my own schedule, modern technology, and my computer to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My hero is my dad. He was my best friend before he passed. He taught me to skate professionally, how to use a camera, how to drive, and even how to ride my first bike. My dad was proud of all my accomplishment and was always there when I received promotions. He took care of my mom for better or worst until the day she retired in glory. My dad did not believe in can't but you always can whatever you really want out of life he believed you could have it. People loved him everywhere even though he was very quite.
I lived in many cities and worked for long periods of time in even more.
My first move from home was Pittsburg, PA then Greensboro, NC [Extreme cold to extreme Heat] Then I moved to Baltimore, MD. I lives briefly in Detroit, MI., Norfolk, VA., Spartanburg, SC., Nashville, TN., Greenville East, NC.,
I worked in many surrounding cities for those states. [At my age I really can't remember all the cities except Cleveland, Ohio because I lived in Pittsburgh and traveled to Clevelend 5-7 days every month for 2 1/2 yrs & then when I lived in Baltimore I traveled to Philadelphia everyday for three months.] Well it was all good and for the job.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Janice Powell, because she was my best friend and I have not been able to make contact after I moved out of DC .
I like to look at professional & college championship playoffs & finals for Basketball and I like to watch the superbowl games. I am not into watch as much sports since about 1985 but I do enjoy the finals My favorite pet is our Yorkie Jaz she is too too cute. I'll post pictures. Reality TV shows are not on my agenda a...Expand for more
nd do not interest me for some reason everybody I know has a special one but I never can stay interest long I still prefer a mystery movie. [Not thrillers] I am obsessed with God on the spiritual side and the latest technology in the real world. I love all the modern technology and I am a gadget freak. Yes I am.
My biggest surprise in life is I never got married. Too wild the first 15 year after high school and then to business the rest. Now to set in my own ways and way too independent.
I've learned from my daughter to live what you believe.
I would love to see Mrs Banks again. She was so glad I was nothing like my older brother as a student. [English & Bookkeeping] I love to write because of her. [journals] and my major was accounting, my best jobs came because of my gift [analyze numbers in reports]
If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to New Psalmist Baptist Church, then spend the rest on family, start a family business and invest..
My current age is 60. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be fully retired. I was so completely not correct.
To answere question 17 I can only answer this way. I have fulfilled my career aspiration and work somewhat now and then because I am a workaholic and people won't let me fully quit.
My first crush is a professor at Scranton University and we are friends.
My best friend would tell you I'm very opinionated, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as know what I believe to be true to be true to me.
The weidest job I ever had was at the Post Office doing shristmas temp while in college on break. We mostly sorted the mail and I worked 3:30 to mid-nite funny most nites I got off at 3:30 in the morning. They could pull your time card at mid-nite and make you do mandatory over time and because they would change your shift to come in at 6 pm I would be leaving work at 6 am. I would tell my parents and daughter hello when they came home in the evening goodbye got to go to work and then in the morning I would say hello I'm home goodbye they would be leaving. That was a weird job.
Trophies on the mantel NO NO they collect dust. But there have been many. I was in sales for 25 years and I was good and I'll say no more.
Wish I had time to share more got to go my grandson's going out and needs a ride. i'm happy about life and enjoying the rest of the ride. I hope everyone is.
