Carolyn Peters:  

Life I came to Rogersville as a tranfer student. I spend 4 great years there. And I had to leave to go to Russellville, Ky. as a Senior. Upon Graduation on Thursday I put myself in Tenn. again for college at Lincoln Memorial Univ. I completed my BS in 3 years in Math/Physics. I wanted a career in Computers, however the field was not ready for women. I worked in accounting and bookeeping at Univ of Tenn./Bio-chem Department with the grants/fellowship moneys for grad students. I married Charles Kenneth Peters on July 5, 1969. Since Ken was US Navy Second Class Airdale, we lived in Wapaihu, Hawaii for 1 1/2 years. We came back to Monroe, MI and he resumed his job at Ford Motor Co in Yspilanti where he still works as a Millwright for 35 years. I worked for Host International Hotel at Detroit Metro Airport for 1 year. Our son, Micheal Eric was born March 12, 1972. I then worked at a fabric shop until Andrea Danielle Nicol...Expand for more
