Carolyn's Story
HI!
I married in '69, and we have 4 grown children. They have currently blessed us with 6 grandchildren, ages 18-2 yrs old.
My major occupation since high school has been raising our children ages 36-25, however, I did make time to get a cosmetology license in '75 and worked at that part-time for a while. I have also worked as a substitute teacher; because I liked it, and I could keep track of school policies. In 1997, I enrolled in a Junior College, and earned an Associates degree in 1999. I began classes at the University of Texas at Tyler in 1999, had my Bachelor's degree in 2001, and was 2/3's through a Masters Degree when my mother developed macular degeneration, and is now living with us.
Our children all live within an hour's drive, so we can now enjoy the grandchildren, since my husband retirement this year.
