Carolyn's Story
Doug and I will have our anniversary in a few days, Nov 29th and It will be our 38th anniversary. He's a great guy and
has always treated me lovingly all these years. We have three boys, our middle son is deceased. He was killed in Alaska while working on the fishing boats. Our oldest son, married a great gal with 3 children and they are all on their
own now and we have two great grand children. We live on a mountain top in Scappoose, Or. and I worked many years for Consolidated Freightways, the big trucking co. We are both retired now and I keep busy volunteering at our
local Senior Thrift Store here in town. I do all the clothes. We love to camp, I do cross stitching, painting, reading, ceramics, gardening and I collect antiques. Mostly Blue and White Pot...Expand for more
tery. For many years I worked a second job as
a Med-Aide and traveled all over after work and on weekends taking care of patients and elderly. My third son is in a
group home in Claskine, he is Autistic and retarded. He's very happy there and they take such good care of him as he
is such a happy person. Doug's three brothers and one sister live in this area so he sees them all the time and takes
good care of them. All of my family are in Oklahoma and we travel nearly every year there to see them. It's never long
enough but we have discovered many relatives of Doug's around there too, so we keep finding lost cousins everywhere. We haven't attended a reunion as it seems we are always in Okla. when they are happening but one of
these days we hope to attend one.
