Carolyn's Story
Hi,
I'm just sitting here thinking about
my life, at the age of 59 years old I've come a long way. I've been married
and now divorce, I had 3 children 2 boys 1 girl who are grown now, I lost
my youngest son at the age of 32 years
old in 1999. He has 3 boys 2 grown 1
has a darling little girl, my oldest
son is married and has 5 kids and 1
grand-child, and my daughter who is 39
years old with 2 boys one 18 years old
graduated from high school
a 4 year old. She will be getting married next year and will be moving to Georgia, I have 10 grands in all and 2 great-grands who keep me on my
toes. When I first came out of school
I went to work for the Department of
Health,Education,Welfare for a year before the US Postal Service called me in DC, after being there for 4 years I got a promotion in CFS and went to MSC Merrifield, VA...Expand for more
. to work and that's where I retired in 1989 on
disability after 21 years federal
service. Since then I've been through
ups and down with my personal life, but with the help of prayer and family
I've been able to overcome it all. Now
my past time is grands and great-grands, casinos, movies, everything
people my age do. I went to Las Vegas
last year and fell in love with the
city and all thats there, I'm even
thinking about moving there some time
in the near future. After my son died
I thought I would not be able to go on, but I new I had to for my other
kids and grandkids. I look for for the
next 40 or so years with the way things are happening in this world I
can only pray and do my part to have a
good life. So until the next chapter
I hope all stay safe and peaceful.
I look forward to the next reunion!!!
