Carolyn's Story
One day classmates.com popped up on my screen and I thought I would try it. I graduated from David Crockett High School in 1970. I remember in 10th grade we voted on the colors for the new school... I believe it was between purple and gold or brown and gold. Of course you know what the student body voted for... gold and brown. lol! In 1968 Crockett opened it doors. s, Davey Crockett, visited our new school. The twirlers had skirts that were made out of real leather and he autographed each one as we flipped the skirts up at the hem. He was tall and very good looking. I stood there with my tongue hanging out as he signed my skirt,.. at that moment my picture was taken and spread in the press. I didn't care because I was with a movie star and I was in heaven... I still have my skirt.
