Carolyn's Story
The question is: How do you hope old friends remember you? Of course....I would hope my SWEET/GOOD/BEST friends would remember me as I actually was:
Young....Thin....and Beautiful. Hmmmm?
I am none of the above now. But I still love to joke around, laugh, have my wonderful memories. Truly, I have had the best of childhood, teenage, young mother, divorcee and re-married
life, any one person could have.
Next question: wildest thing I did in school? Well, transferring from San Diego High (after growing up for 12 grades with the same friends) to Reno High School in Nevada in Feb(1957) of my senior year. Brand new living environment, new Nevada State History to learn in 3 months, a great group of new friends at Reno Hi, lots of new fun like diving into Lake Tahoe in Feb ...Expand for more
(knocked the wind out of me it was so cold)but I was a synchronized swimmer at the San Diego Club and could swim anywhere (ha), snow skiing, spending
alot of time at Tahoe, oh so much fun for those 6 months.
To be really happy: To be right where I am today with my boyfriend/husband Don.
My weirdest job: I drove a golf cart to scoop up golf balls at Brockway Golf Course Driving Range in Lake Tahoe, the summer after high school graduation 1957.
Yes, I had a Medal that I won playing tennis with Jan Ray. I gave it to my friend that took me to Point Loma to see the Submarine Races, and He didn't give it back, but, I gave him his ring back. Oh well, another great memory.
One "do-over" wouldn't be enough.
Surprise about me? My weight gain after my Radiation and Chemotherapy.
