Carolynne's Story
Life
I married for the first time in 1974. We were married for 10 years and had two children, David born 1975 and Patricia born 1976. I was a full time stay at home mom but very active in my church and community. LOVED every moment with my children. After 10 years of marriage we divorced. I was a single mother for 4 years at which time I went back to school, St. Catharines Business College, and took business courses. This was when I was introduced to the world of Accounting.
I met my current husband at the home of a mutual friend, in St. Catharines. He is from Long Island, NY. We managed to overcome the distance and married a year to the day we met. Currently, I live in Long Island, NY and work as an Accountant in a Public Accounting firm. I am in the process of completing my bachelor's degree in accounting via online courses through the

I have a step-son in his 20's that is still single. My children are both married. David has three boys, ages 3 and 2, the two year olds are are identical twins. He lives in Germany with his family and was in the US army for 5 years. My husband and I try to travel to Germany once a year, beautiful country to visit.
Patricia is a nurse and has been married for a year. She lives on Long Island, thank goodness.
The sadess day in my life was 09/11/2001. I was working in New York City that day and experienced this tragic day first hand. It changed my life and I will never forget the train ride home that night, when we were finally able to leave the city. Not a sound, you could hear a pin drop on a 20 car train full of people. It is a day I will never forget.
I consider myself to be very blessed. My life is full and I would not change a thing about it.
