Robert's Story
Well, when I left North Highlands, I moved to Southern California. I went to school there until 1981. I then moved to Tulsa Ok. to study aviation electronics. After leaving Ok I moved back to Southern Cal. I went to work as an engineer for ATT for a couple of years. Then I went to work as an engineer for Westinghouse. After leaving Westinghouse I moved on to ITT as a senior engineer. After leaving ITT I went to work with a corp named American Deversifide in Orange county as a Network Engineer in the CBS radio division. In 1986 I moved abroad to Saudi Arabia. There I began as a teacher in the network communications department at ARAMCO. I met my wife of 25 years that same year in Dahran. After two years I left ARAMCO and went to work for the Saudi Consolidated Electric Company as the manager of radio systems where I designed ed and implemented the company's radio systems and control centers. My first daugther was born she is now a beautiful 23 year old. During this period Desert Shield and Storm began and ended. I sayed the course through both for som strange reason wanting to experience history. My second daugther Alexis was born in 1995.

ntry Sweden. There I went to work as a Base Station design engineer for Ericsson. I was first sent to school in Ireland. Truely did not know years later I would end up living there for 5 years. My first assignment was in Raliegh NC. After a year I moved back to Sweden and began to teach for Ericsson. After a year of teaching I was sent on assignment in Achen, Germany as a competence manager. The assignment lasted a year and we returned ter a year I was sent on assignment in Johanesburg, South Africa. There as a project manager I was in charge of a submarine cable project which spaned from Nigeria to South Africa and 13 coutries in Sub Sahara Africa. After my project ended I was sent back to the Middle East on assignment in Bahrain. In Bahrain I was part of an engineering tem that implemented one of the worlds first mobile radio, mobile office computing systems.
After leaving Bahrain I returned to Sweden and soon grew tired of the mobile radio business so I switched to Dell computers in Dublin, Ireland as a support services The travel bug hit us again and we are now in Dubai where we will likely sing our swan song and retire.
I may have missed a few starange times but all and all that was it.
