Carrie's Story

Left Michigan in '76 for San Diego. Loved it out there. Worked in the financial arena. Married and divorced during the 13 years there. Returned to Michigan to care for my mother. Went to work for Uncle Sam at the Ann Arbor VA. Met and married my husband while there. The VA transferred me out to Nebraska, I loved it there. When I lost my husband, I chose to stay on. i have 3 stepchildren. They live in San Diego, Oregon and Cape Cod. (I was right smack dab in the middle of them all!) I have 5 grandchildren and know that I am totally blessed. I am now retired and travel a lot. I love photography, I paint, and make jewelry. I've done quite well in these areas, enjoy the ...Expand for more
painting, sell the jewelry and my photography is showing in several art gallaries. My favorite subjects to photograph are wildlife and nature. I could spend days out fishing. I just love it. I love Native American history and culture, so I visit the Black Hills several times a year for photo opportunities and to keep my attitude adjusted! In 2012 I decided to return to my roots. Couldn't take the big city anymore after living in Nebraska so ended up settling in Houghton Lake. Loving it up here. I still get down to L.P. every 6 weeks or so, but love coming back to the Lake. Hope to connect with old friends and remember good times. Get in touch, would love to hear from you.
