Carrie's Story
Life
Staying busy with my house, 3 cats, and 1 dog. Yep, I'm officially the crazy cat lady everyone's afraid of. My neighbors like me though! I love my house, it took me almost 10 years to find the perfect place for me and I made an offer the night I saw it! Been here for about 6 years now. Been in Lansing since 93. I'm back in grad school, AGAIN. Since work is paying for it I will likely finish this time!
Never found a man who either I could put up with or he could put up with for more than awhile. I like being able to do what I want when I want. I never wanted kids, so no man isn't a big deal. Except for all the heavy lifting and snow blowing, car maintenance that I have to do myself. But if it means I don't have to put up with someone else's flaws, then cool. I have enough of my own to deal with!

the newest puppy is Hadley an 8 month old Chihuahua. They are all rescues of some kind. I'm a sucker for an unwanted pet. Plenty of love in my house for everyone!
My personal time is spent working on the house, casino hopping or hanging out in the UP. It's too beautiful up there!
I work in the Systems and Programming group of a large IT shop for an insurance company. I am a technical writer. Always wanted to write and that's what I do! I write the procedures for the Technology teams who keep our mainframes up and running, the DBAs, UNIX team, and assorted Network folks who have to work all hours of the day keeping data changes running. Thankfully I get weekends off and don't have to worry about disaster recovery, I only write about it! YAY ME!
