Carrie's Story
I'm finding myself thinking more about my high school years, even junior high and grade school! I guess it's because I'm not running around chasing four little kids anymore. Or maybe it's because I'm 52 years old (not afraid to say that cause you're all there too!) It's kind of scary how fast these years have gone by. I did a lot of stupid crazy things in high school, things I won't mention in case one of my kids checks this out. I just hope I wasn't mean or unkind to anyone. If I was, I'm sorry.
I married my high school sweetheart, Steve Champeau (1973 graduate.) He is just as handsome now as he was then. So to all those girls who tried to get their hands on him, he's still mine!
We have four great kids. Andrea is 22, Jeff is 20, Ben is 18 and Marie is 16. We've had our challenges raising kids... Andrea and Ben both have disabilities which means th...Expand for more
ey will always need supervision and will live with us for as long and we can take care of them. The up side is Mom doesn't have to deal with empty nest! They are really sweet fun kids and bring us a lot of happiness. Jeff got his father's brains and is now in college at Cornell Univeristy in New York. He's studying history and international relations and is almost fluent in Chinese. He has spent some time in China and will be back there next year for a semester. Marie is in 10th grade at Minnetonka High School and loves the social side of school the most. She's a lot like me so I watch her like a hawk.
We live in Victoria now on a lake property and enjoy boating in the summer. I love to garden in the summer and I still knit a litte in the winter. (I learned to knit in home economics class in high school, we made knitted halter tops, yikes!)
