Carrie's Story

College I had the best roommate in college, Jessica. We didn't have everything in common, but we just co-habitate a very small space extremely well. I was a part of her wedding last summer. Workplace I started out in baseball as an intern in 2002 with the Quad City River Bandits. I worked extremely hard that summer and it eventually turned into the only 'real' job I have ever had. I have worked as the Office Manager aka "the do-it-all" guru since January 2003. I have seen this nice ballpark turn into one of the most amazing minor league ballparks in the country. It has been the best and the worst times of my work life...Expand for more
, but I am still here. I have met some really awesome people, Hall of Famers, Paul Molitor, Rod Carew, and Cecil Fielder. The players and coaching staffs that I have been around have been superbly amazing people and seeing some of the guys dawn major league uniforms is a great thing. I have since left baseball and moved onto a job at Iowa State University in late August 2005. The job is a complete change for me, but it is a welcome one. I find myself loving work and wanting to go back each day. I work in the Brenton Center which is housed in the College of Agriculture and the job is a great learning experience for me.
