Carter's Story
I've lived in Milwaukee since I was 10 (1959). After Pulaski I went to UWM for a BA ('71) and MS ('74) both in Anthropology. In 1976 I was lucky to get a curatorial and research job at the Milwaukee Public Museum. At the end of 2016 I retired after 40 years. Married for over 30 years, we have a daughter who graduated from Marquette in 2017 and worked at the Medical College for a couple of years before grad school. nsic science from Drexel University (Philadelphia) in 2021 and moved home to hunt for a job. In early 2022 she became a Deputy Medical Examiner for Waukesha County.
Having been connected with archaeological and paleontological digs for years and loving travel, I've been to all 50 states and roughly 30 countries from Canada to China and Egypt to Peru. A very lucky life! However my wife developed cancer and passed away far too soon in Jan 2022.
