Hello to all who read these things. It says to catch you all up on what I've done. WELL ... in a nut shell, I went to work for an engineer just before we all graduated; May 1978. I worked for him until 1992 when he retired and sold his company to another. I worked for them until 1997 and had my own business "Caryl's Design Services" until February 2005; which is when I decided I better work for a company with benefits. What do I do? Mr. Christofferson's class at IHS started me off in my architectural career. I am in the commercial end of it and design Convenience Stores, Car Washes and Gasoline Facilities. Over the 32 years I've been doing this I have been involved with virtually every Shell, Texaco, Unocal and Chevron in the greater Puget Sound, going as far as Vancouver, WA and Blaine, WA. As you drive through Issaquah, the Shell (was Texaco) and the Unocal are both mine. I was pregnant with my son the year the Unocal was built, 1988 and the Shell was built in 1980/1981 as I recall. The new company I am with, Barghausen Consulting Engineers, is currently involved with the remodel of old Harold Ruby's Arco, also on Front Street. While this was my paying job; I also found time to have my daughter, Sarah and my son, David. She will be 24 this summer and he will be 22. My daughter promised I wouldn't be a grandmother before 50, however, my adorable blonde, blue eyed grandson will be 3 this June and he's already 38-inches ...Expand for more
