Cassandra's Story
Life
Although I've been fortunate enough to have traveled all over the world, I've remained in the Dayton area...and every winter I wonder why.
Been married twice, now separated and have two sons who made careers in the Army, both now retired. They are my heroes. I have 4 grandchildren....21, 18, 16 and 14. My babies at home are a cockatoo, Sugar, and two kitties, Blue and Teddy.
Professionally, I was a free-lance commercial artist for many years and then turned to oil painting, specializing in painting big game animals. About six years ago, I re-invented myself again and now design jewelry under the WildeJewels name. You can see...Expand for more
some of my work in my photos section. In the last couple of years I've begun sculpting art dolls, too. Not fairies or baby dolls.....mine are more of the weird kind.
In the fall of '08 I was diagnosed with uterine cancer and breast cancer and things have gone well..I'm a tough ol' broad. I've reached that age when all my 'original equipment' has been repaired, replaced, removed and with the help of gravity, relocated.
Update March '12 - Have been reconnecting with '62 classmates to begin planning 50th reunion (omg!). Still painting, beading, sculpting....retirement? What's that?
All in all, it's been a very interesting life.
