Joseph's Story
Life
OK, here it is, I'm trying to make it as short as I can.
After graduating Lafayette, I continued in music school and studied at the Metropolitan Opera for about 3 years. I started a long stretch on the road (6 years of one nighters) with all the big bands( Dorsey, Miller, Kenton, Morrow, Monroe....). Then I settled back in New York, and started a life in the recording studios as a session player and arranger, then production and engineering entered the picture. I had 2 bands, Area Code 212, we had some records out in the late seventies early eighties that did pretty well. t 12 years. Through this time I was still in the studios each day. Here it is 2007 and guess what? Still in the studios. I run the music division and studios at a movie studio here in New York. Kaufman Astoria Studios, quite an interesting place. Executive Creative Director is the title I carry (little do they know.) So, now I'm on a steady flow of recording CDs, TV shows and Movies.
If you plan on doing any searches, I only use Joe, I haven't used Joseph, in my business in about 40 years. Got married in 1980, it lasted about 15 years, and I have 2 wonderful daughters and a grandson. Living in Westchester, and blessed to be able to walk into music everyday. Thanks, Joe
