Catherine's Story
Since graduation in 1965, I've had 4 children, and 11 grandchildren.
I worked 10 years for The Boeing Company in Graphic Design, Classroom Delivery, Vendor Support and Office Administration.
Layoff time came in 2002. I was offered a job in Everett but declined due to the long daily commute.
Boeing offered a re-training program so I went to college...Expand for more
and received an AA in Accounting.
I was offered another job at Boeing, but I had committed to care for my grandson while his mom and dad worked. That lasted for a little over 4 years, now his mom stays at home.
I have an accounting job one day per week and do childcare two days per week.
We hope to retire someday and maybe travel around the U.S.
