Life
Good Lord! OK, off to Yale for my BA; got married in 1977 to Michelangelo Baris, Yale '70; moved to University of Texas for grad work in education, anthropology, and psychology. Daughter Mackenzie Baris born January 1979 (she graduated from Yale in May 2001).
Left husband and Texas 1982 and moved back to CT. Worked for a year or two and moved to Philadelphia, taking up karate and getting M.Ed. and Ph.D. at Temple in Kinesiology. Moved back to CT again in 1992 to live with Chip Gatter, Yale '73. Wedding September 2000 after 8 years of common law marriage (wondrous pagan ceremony, honeymoon on Bonaire)....Expand for more
Widowed November 20, 2002. Still reeling.
Work: lots! computer trainer, medical researcher, writer/editor, Web site manager, technical writer. Spent five years as a full-time freelance medical writer, working from home. Am now a researcher at a psychiatric hospital in Bangor, Maine. Moved to Maine a year ago. I lost my incredible 200-year old house in CT, but I now have a wonderful cottage on a lake, with my favourite sister just two doors away and a great group of friends and neighbors. I have a dog and three cats, and lead a simple, peaceful life...
and YES, I AM STILL CRAZY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!!
