Catherine's Story
Still in Maynard with Jim and the girls (Jacquie 21, Colleen 19 and Shannon 13) Older girls both in college, Jim and I broke!!! We finally have a place at the beach in Maine, we have been going up to Jim's hunting camp for years, it is a 5 hr drive, pretty rustic but when the girls were younger, they loved it. Not so much now because the phone service and computer access is terrible! When they were younger they loved to fish and hike and go out on the lake with the boat and use the four wheelers. But now they are much more cosmo (or so they think) and they want a place with people around not just nature!! So we now have a place at Old Orchard Beach and they can bring their friends (boyfriends) and enjoy the ocean and relax. I have to say I really enjoy being with the girls, they are a lot of fun. mini-me, Colleen is Jim through and through and Sha is a perfect mix. I am still with Life Care of Acton, 11 years, doing the training for all the staff, no more weekends or nights, Jim is still with the Maynard PD, days, no more weekends or nights!! Finally on the same shifts!! I continue to have pets, right now only two cats and one guinea pig. We had 12 chickens, got to be too much and the girls didn't want to take care of them and way too many eggs, so they became some very tasty dinners. I couldn't do it, but some of my friends at work did - YUK! My parents are still living in the same house and doing fine, boy it is hard to think about your parents being 80 years old but then again it is hard to think that I am going to be 50 soon. Oh Well, it has been a great 50 so far hope the next 50 are as good.
