Catherine's Story
Life
I married Marko Susla who is a Chemist.
I write Poetry having published several which can be seen in many different anthologies.
I self published my poetry. It can be bought at Xlibris, Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com or a local bookstore. The title is Dreams Come True.
I primarily clean houses as this is something I enjoy.
School
From 1980 - 1982 I attended a community college in Waterbury, CT, Mattatuck now Housatonic Valley Community College graduating with an A.S. in General Education having received most of my credits in Early Childhood Education.
From there I attended Eastern CT State University in Willimantic, CT for 1 year as an Elem. Education major, transferred 2 yrs. later to Central CT State College in New Britain, CT, dropped out after a month and found work.
From 1995 - 1997 I attended Kean in Union, NJ graduating with my B.A. in Fine Arts.
College
At Eastern CT. State University I lived on campus and enjoyed campus life. My roommates were all nice women and I am glad I had the experiences I had there. At the time I was studying for Elementary Education not sure what I really wanted to do just following in the footsteps my parents wanted for me.
I remember the parties, the all nighters and the guy who lived next door that I had a huge crush on later to find out he was gay so I didn't stand a chance with him. Oh well. He was cute and we shared many a long conversation about life.
Workplace
I worked for 5 1/2 years at Canberra Industries as an assembler ...Expand for more
on the printed circuit board line. I loved the work and the people whom I worked with and maintain some contacts.
I only left there because of marriage.
A year later, I got a job in NJ at a small place in NJ doing assembly work again where I worked for a year and a half there. I went to school at Kean College to finish my education. I now have a BA in Fine Arts.
I blow off steam by meditating and prayer, writing and focusing on all I have to be grateful for in my life.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have support, information, and communication to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My inspiration comes from my own experiences, those in my life who have been influential and supportive.
My favorite sport is Tennis and I try to keep up with the latest in the tennis world.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a dining room extending outside. My dream home would be simple but not expensive..
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to Lupus Foundation, then spend the rest on my home, family and save the rest.
My best friend would tell you I'm crazy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy.
I dress quite simply. I prefer tee shirts and jeans above anything else.
I share my home with husband which I find brings satisfaction..
I have awards received from poetry contests.
My first job was at American Steakhouse, where I got paid small amount to clean tables, etc.. What I remember most about it is the atmosphere..
