Catherine's Story
So, here I am, Frankie Jarrell, Class of 1962, birth name of Catherine Stogner. Attended Texas Tech on a journalism scholarship (with the help of National Merit Society) after my years on the Monterey Mirror staff at MHS. My life story has included serving as Communication Services Communications Director at Texas Tech, work in the Computer Dept. at UTEP, almost 10 years as editor and general manager of the Ruidoso News in Ruidoso, NM, and currently Associate Minister at First Christian Church, Ruidoso. of 1966), and I, have three children, and live in Ruidoso. Two lawyers and one public school teacher -- doesn't that speak well for MHS grads, just plain old poor people who were able to educate accomplished kids? I've never been to a class reunion, been to busy, too chubby and not yet curious enough; but now, old enough for SS, I AM curious. What are you guys up to? where are you? I'm sure nobody remembers me (simply a good student, newspaper person, preparing for college and life), but I was a born reporter and may very well remember you. So what's happening?
