Cathy's Story
Life
Where do I begin? So much to write (with no spell check) and so much forgotten since 1978. I can't say my life has been anything interesting but I can say I have enjoyed every moment of it. After McClintock I enrolled in Mesa Community College which I attended for two years, never finishing. I then decided I wanted to make money right away so I became a hairdresser which I continued for almost twenty years. I married for the first time in 1980 or 81 then divorced not long after then stayed single until 1992 when I met my current husband. We have been married now for almost fifteen years. He has his own real estate investment company. After marrying and buying our home in Scottsdale I gave up the hair business and started my own Antique business which I stayed in for five years and still dabble in now and then. I am currently trying to start up another business. Since owning our home we have done much remodeling and I have designed and created a beautiful back yard which has been featured in Phoenix Home and Garden and Sunset magazine. We also have a home in Durango, Colorado and Kawaii. I am a huge animal lover so we have two black Great Danes, one Sharpei mix which ...Expand for more
was on the cover of Phoenix Home and Garden in February 2007 issue, one cat and a pond with two gold fish. I would love more animals but I'm afraid my husband would throw me out of the house if I brought home anymore. I also love to travel so the past ten years I have been going to Europe two to three times a year. I just love the architecture, history and food of all the different countries. I have been to England, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy where I just returned from a two week driving trip with Vicki Cook. Vicki Cook and I did one other driving trip a few years ago in France. She has been a great traveling partner for she has the same interest as me. My favorite place to go is the Cotswolds of England since I am a garden lover. I usually rent a cottage there for a week and then go to the Chelsea Flower show in London ( London being my all time favorite city to visit). If anyone needs advice or places to go in London please feel free to ask me for I know it well. I still am close friends with all the girls I hung out with in high school and am looking forward to seeing others that I don't keep in touch with at our thirty year reunion.
