Cathryn Whitehead:  

After high school I went to the U of M, then Mott, then back to the U of M. During those years I married a musician (big mistake except that it resulted in two beautiful, talented, special daughters and eventually two wonderful grandsons and a granddaughter), worked at LakeVille in the office, then as a substitute teacher, and remarried. My marriage to Randy Whitehead included another perfect daughter and a sweet granddaughter and grandson as well as two stepsons and a stepdaughter that gave us four more granddaughters and three more grandsons. Randy and I had been married for 12 years when his health began to go downhill, and I took a job at Metamora Products for the insurance benefits. We had 20 good years together when he died in 2004. Everyone who knew and loved him will always miss him, and I'll continue to volunteer for the American Diabetes Association in honor of him. During my marriage, I enjoyed reading, writing, playing the piano, and fishing. I still enjoy all these activities, even though I'm pretty rusty on the piano.
