Cathryn's Story

Life has been interesting lately, to say the least.
Well, here it is, fact and folly in the nutshell version. Let's see. back in 1976 I put my brain on indefinite hold and took temporary leave of my senses, during which time I became engaged to and eventually married a band geek from South High. (I told you I took leave of my senses!) Well, we were divorced by 1982 with nothing to show for it, and in 1984 I married my current husband, now retired Navy Senior Chief John Swallia. We have a 22 year old son and a 16 year old daughter, and live in Southeastern Idaho among the cacti and sagebrush. Ah yes the sagebrush, an indigenous Idaho plant to which I am highly allergic! I have spent 2 years recently learning to become a writer, something I should have done in the 70's instead of getting married. At last I have achieved graduate status, but I still number among the undocumented unemployed. This year I am devoting to attempting to get some of my hard work published. I have one interested party already, but (big surprise!) I have yet to have book one in my YA horse series published. As for less recent history my parents died (my Dad in '99 at the age of 84 and my mom in 2003). I am constantly , it seems, searching for the rest of my family. If anyone hears from or knows anything about my brother Alan's whereabout, please contact me!
