Cathy's Story
Hi everyone. I've been a reporter/photographer/editor for over 18 years in various communities throughout Alberta. I was in Lamont, east of Edmonton, where I worked as an Editor for the Lamont Leader. Now working part-time as a concession attendant at Rexall Place while looking for a full-time job. Has anybody else felt an ageism bias toward older workers, or is it just me?
Got married in 1978, got divorced in 2000, have two kids - boy, 31, girl, 34; son lives in Edmonton. I still have a Maine Coon cat who lives with me. She weighs 18 ...Expand for more
pounds and is 33 inches long. A normal size for her breed.
I have to say I personally knew former Premier Ed Stelmach because when I worked as a reporter in Vegreville, his MLA office was half a block from mine. He's actually a very nice guy. It's funny, Stelmach was a really good guy but maybe not the best leader. But Alison Redford was going to outshine him and be the best leader ever for the Conservatives. Hmm.
