Cathy's Story
After graduation, I attended WVU. I was a member of the Pride of West Virginia Mountaineer Marching Band for four years, a member of Kappa Kappa Psi from 1985 on and served as President from 1986-1988, and was inducted into Mountain Honorary in 1988. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education-Mathematics in December 1988.
I moved to Jefferson County, WV and taught ninth grade math at Harpers Ferry Junior High from 1989-1997. While there I coached Girls' Basketball and Cheerleading. I worked with Jefferson High School's Band teaching the guard for one year. This was my busy single life time until June 1995 when I married Scott Phillips.

gust 22,1996. We moved to Harrison County, WV in August 1997. I began teaching at Lincoln High School that Fall, where I was talked back into coaching the Freshmen Cheerleaders. Without details, this was a tough period of time for me. Scott and I separated and divorced August 1998.
I changed schools within the county Fall 2000 to Robert C. Byrd High School. It was kind of like coming home, given that WI and RW became RCB. I have taught Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Conceptual Math.
I married Michael Pizzino in 2000. We had one child, Samuel Blaine Pizzino. After many years of fighting for a marriage, we parted ways at the beginning of 2011.
The boys and I currently reside in Clarksburg, WV.
