Cathy's Story
When I finished high school, I went to work full time and moved out on my own. I met my future husband in 1970 and we married in 1974. I have 3 children, Christina, Jason and Patricia; I statyed at home with them until they reached Jr. High age and started working part time. Later when I wanted to work full time in a school district I went ahead and signed up for a few classes at a Community Colledge; I was able to land a job with the Chaffey Unified School District in 1995 as an Instructional Aide at a high school campus -- NEVER IN MY WILDEST DREAMS thought I would work in a teaching environment with high school students, but I liked it very much! Later I transfered to work in a office at the Chaffey Adult School and will soon retire from this job assignment. I had 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy and are all grown and out of the house. My husband is retired (Electrician) and I now work full time at Chaffey School District in Ontario. We live in Chino Hills (36 yrs.). My husband Howard and I have been active in church most of our married life (36 yrs.); we also love to take care of our grandbabies! Having our own children has been a great blessing BUT our grandbabies excede that experience! Nothing like being a grandparent, we love it!! My eldest daughter Christina at 13 yrs old suffered a head injury and has a life-time disability but lives on her own and is a very positive productive person. My son Jason had served in the Army and then married in 2002 and since has had two children. My youngest daughter Patricia graduated from CAL State Fullerton and lives in Moreno Valley with her boyfriend. Overall I've had a great life and stayed pretty healthy. My family really means a lot to me and I enjoy them immensely!
