Cathy's Story
Upon graduating I attendend UTEP for 3 years, concentrating on my language studies: French, Spanish & Russian. I transferred to UT Arlington where I graduated with a major in Russian & a minor in Spanish, but it took a few more years before I was able to get my teaching certification. Taught Spanish at OD Wyatt H.S. in Ft. Worth for 9 years, then for Dept. of Defense Dependent Schools in Ankara, Turkey, for 13 years. Returned stateside in 2000 to teach Spanish & English at North Idaho College, then retired in 2010.

ngle until 1992 when I married Jon Guinn, a retired A.F. Lt. Col who had returned to Ankara as a security officer for the military contractor there. 2nd time around has been AWESOME!
Unfortunately, I never had children of my own, but Jon has 3 children, all of whom have children themselves, so we have 8 grandchildren!
We have 1 dog & a cat, a small vegetable garden, 20 acres of mostly wooded land, and an older log home that we have spent the past 16 years remodeling, doing much of the work ourselves. We keep busy!
I hike, bike, ski, kayak, travel, do gardening and make handmade greeting cards (rubber-stamping) Like I said...We keep busy!
