Cathy's Story

It will be hard to condense 30 years into this little space but I will try. After high school, I went to Pepperdine University in Malibu and graduated in 1982. I was fortunate enough to land a job at Mattel Toys that fall and worked in the legal dept, Marketing, and then finally the international production planning dept. (had a chance to do some travelling to Europe). Was there for 7 years and needed a change. Went to work for a computer software company as an international planner again but the company went belly-up. Moved to Murrieta, CA and bought a house in 1988 right when that area was evolving. Went to work for Eagle Creek in San Marcos (backpacks, luggage, etc) as a production scheduler. At that time I got married in 1990 to my wonderful husband Bob (he is orginally from Roseburg, OR) and will have been married 18 years in November. er since, except working part-time in special ed. at various elementary schools. We soon got the bug to move to Oregon and lived in the Salem area for 6 years. It was there that our son Chandler was born and he just turned 13. Couldn't stand the rain up there so Bob found a job back in CA in Riverside (he is in quality control/production operations in the food industry). We moved to the Bonsall (Fallbrook) area in 2000. We stayed there for 6 years and his commute was becoming a nightmare and decided to look elsewhere. He found a job in Ashland, OR and we have been here 2 years and love it (it is at the OR/CA border and not much rain but gorgeous seasons). I still keep in touch with many people, even though we haven't seen each other in a few years. My 4 years (minus our 8 month move to Texas freshman year) there were the best high school memories one could have. I made it to the 10 and 20 yr reunions but will miss this one. Would love to hear from old friends !
