Life After graduation in 1978, I married for the first time (big mistake!!), but the marriage resulted in my first child, a son, born in 1986. This marriage ended in 1988, and I quickly remarried (got it right the second time!!) in 1989. Our second son was born in 1990. My second husband adopted my first son in 1993. I moved to the Denver area in 1981 and have been here ever since. I attended Fort Lewis for 2 years, and Metro State for 1 year, majoring in accounting. I have been employed full and part-time as an accountant for over 20 years now. I am currently employed as the CFO of a medium-sized excavation business, and I love it! My oldest son started college at UNC in 2005, and my younger son is in the 11th grade. I spent the last several years caring for my parents through illnesses and deaths, ending with the loss of my dad in October, 2004. During those years, I drove back and forth from Aurora to Durango many, many times, by my calculation, I racked up over 10,000 miles.
