Cedric's Story

Life Greetings from beautiful Asheville, North Carolina! My wife and I just moved here this past February 7, 2007 in answer to an off and on ten year prayer we've engaged in. Praise God for His faithfulness in answering prayers. I was able to transfer from the VA Medical Center in Northampton, Massachusetts to the VAMC here in Asheville. We escaped New England just in to miss an 18 inch snow storm! We plan to live here for as many years as the Lord wills. Our oldest, Vanessa, came with us to help us get settled and will be returning to Springfield, Mass. to start a new job and live in her own apartment. She is 23 years old. Oue son, Cedric II, lives in Keene, New Hampshire area with 4-5 other guys and is working part-time while anticipating full-time work in the near future. t the VAMC as a recreation therapist assitant, my wife will be continuing her genealogical research on both sides of our family and eventually finding a part-time/full-time job here in the Asheville area. She still hopes to eventually publish a book on her findings. Both my parents were from eastern North Carolina so we'll have many opportunities to do research within the state over the next several years. So far we LOVE it here!!! I graduated from Houghton College in 1983 with a B.A. in Biblical Studies and minors in Christian Education and Psychology. Hobbies include: electronic music (keyboards and synthesizers), science fiction movies from 1940's to 1980's and just about EVERY Godzilla movie ever made listening to great R&B, Jazz and contemporary gospel music and I'm trying to read a lot more books to contiue learning.
