Celeste's Story

I attend Glendale High School from 1972-76. Had a great time at school was in the marching band, the really fun part being in band was the road trips with the football team. After finishing school I ended a long time friendship with an upper classmate who we both had deep feeling for each other. It was one of those thing that at the time you hoped it would work because you thought it would was what should have happened, but it didn't. I thought it would be the end of the world! But I have found out that when one door close's, another door opens up. Which can lead to a greater future. There has been a few pot hole or two. But thats what make life great. My true love is Danny Smith. Who works for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. The only bad thing about him working for BNSF is we are never in one place for too long of a time. Our final stop has been here in Olathe,KS. We stopped here back in 1996. We have been married now for almost 30 years, now if anyone would have told me I would be married to one man that long I'd had said they were crazy. But so far it's been a fun ride. From out of our marriage we have had 2 girls, Amanda 26 who is married to Michael Shults they have a son Logan 4, and Tanner their soon to be son #2 coming this Febuary. Amanda's family lives in Augusta, GA on Fort Gordan. Michael is in his second tour in Iraqi. Our second daughter Jessica 19 is married to Kevin Hemenway who is in the Army at Fort Bliss in El Paso,TX. They have a new son 2 months old Kristopher Kyle-Andrew Hemenway. Kevin is planning a second tour in Iraqi. Who would have thought I would have been in a ARMY family. We are proud of it and of our son-in-laws. They are really good men. Besides of having a family I went to Springfield Community College and got my Hairstylist Lic.. I worked at Micheal's, Curl-ees Corner Cuts there in Sprin...Expand for more
gfield and finally Grace Place in Republic life was so good. After moving to Olathe I nolonger cut for someone else other than myself. I have worked for a local hospital and then went to work for Dr. Nottingham from the Olathe Hospital. I retired two years ago, and I'm patiently waiting for Danny to retire, he has about 30 more months till he can. Then we are selling our "BIG" house that it's name. And moving back but too, the Republic or the Marionville area. I love animals, we have to dogs "KC" name after Kansas City she is a papollin, then Mollie she is a Laso. We have had many other pet family member, but they are all in Pet Heaven. I still do hair which I still enjoy, I enjoy a good movie, be a love story like Valley of Lights, family movies anything that makes you feel good, or makes you laugh. But nothing with blood, guns, and groor. I also love helping other that are having a hard time. I enjoy making jewerly, and my home based business. I love walks now that I have had my knee replaced. And most of all I love the mountians in Colorado, and in New Mexcio. I guess you could say I love to travel. I been to New York to Lady Liberty, then accross to Montaray,CA. I also love music only to listen too now, I don't play the flute anymore I hope this gives a little insight in to who I am. I've loved, laughed, cried, danced, and wonder why me. But this is one of the best rides I've ever been on. And I hope your is just as great. They say that Fifty is the new Forty and I believe it really is. There are many people from school I would love to see, one person was my BSF: Joni Bryant who move to Tulsa. Then there is Rick Rose,I use to live down the street from. Richard Anderson, and Mike Gray, Jodi Gray, and Danny Gray he is one of the hardest working person that I know of. Peace and Love to all! Celeste Avery - Smith
