Chadwick's Story
Life
I'm still in Baton Rouge. Not married and no kids yet.
School
After leaving Progress Elem., I attended Northwestern Middle School. Mrs. Day was my favorite teacher there. Then, I went to Broadmoor High School. My biggest crush was on Dana Kelly (aka my best friend). My favorite teachers there were Ms. Womble, Ms. Diaz, Ms. Villemarette, and Coach Altazin. I used to hang with Dana, Terry Lee, Shawn Paynes, Kyesolyn Bryd, Quince and Nick Williams, Treon Jackson, Derrick Brown, and Keeva Smith. Ms. Womble was the teacher who inspired me most by giving me the encouragement to become the musician I am today. If I could do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat - adult life is no joke!
My favorite memories are:
- Mrs. Ledbetter's germ phobia. She would NEVER let ANYBODY get close to her an...Expand for more
d was constantly washing her hands, but shockingly she hugged me and Dana on or last day in school. Also, while she was teaching Beowoulf she always said, "Beowoulf's mother, Grendel, who was no lady." I never quite figured that one out.
- The big words Ms. Womble would often use. We actually used to keep a list!
- The Arts & Crafts Festivals. Loved the food!
- Mr. Seay's math class. He would be hard-up teaching and the class would going wild!!
- The pep rallies. Of course everybody loved "2 Bits" (it was their signature cheer), but it was hilarious when the cheerleaders would do the "We Will Rock You" cheer. Instead of saying "Broadmoor BUCS!", we'd cheer "Broadmoor SUCKS!"
College
I graduated from Southern University, an HBCU.
Workplace
I work for the State Department of Public Safety.
