Charlene's Story

After High School I maried in Feb, 1969 and my husband was drafted in Feb, 1970. We were stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado. No VietNam for us. Yea!!!! In 1973 we moved to Lynchburg, Virginia where my husband, Tom studied at Thomas Road Bible College. We moved to Rochester, New York in Jan, 1977 to start Open Door Baptist Church. aised 2 children, Rob now 35 and Amy now 33. They are both married and have blessed us with 5 grandchildren. We have 2 boys and 3 girls. What a blessing to be a grandparent. I also have become a sign language interpreter and enjoy my work very much. We enjoy our fruit trees on our property and look forward to what the future holds. May God bless you all. Char

It was so nice last Friday. We went to the state park and sat in the big chairs. Yay for us.
Were sporting our unmatched socks in honor of Down Syndrome Day today 321. The chromosome number 21 and those with Down Syndrome have 3 instead of 2. We are blessed to have Gwen and learning more and more about Down Syndrom
Haven’t seen this stuff in a while. Do not miss it at all.

Beautiful view from Mt Roberts yesterday in Juneau
9:20 PM and we just got back from Husky Homestead. Loved seeing the sled dogs. The sun will “set” at 11:30 tonight and sun rise is at 4:30 am. Having a great time.
We had fun at Denali.
We got to see the BIG one. Not many people get such clear days to see Denali. God was gracious to us.
We had a great time with our friends Val and Tom Fingling while they could stop by for a couple of days.
This boy here in this picture is our grandson, Tucker. Today he turns 12. He is so much fun but get out of his way when he gets to go fishing or hunting. Happy Birthday Tucker. We love you so much. See you next weekend. W
