Charlene's Story
After school I worked as a nurse for about 10 years. My ex-husband then dragged me to Bucks County PA due to a job transfer. New house, new baby. The 1st and only other was 15! Good grief. Does anyone remember by mother had a baby when we were Freshman? Talk about history repeating itself. When I was ready to go back to work (Matt was 4), I took a job with General Electric as a claims analyst. Great company, terrible job. Being a Catholic school girl I survived 10 years and 12 layoffs. ar 8 I decided to go back into nursing. I took per diem work at a psychiatric hospital to bring in extra money since I was now divorced. Last March I asked to be in the next layoff. May 4th I got my wish. So I am a full-time psychiatric nurse and do hospice per diem. I have never had so much gratification as I have had this last year. The best decision I ever made. I wish I could say the same for my choice in husbands, yes plural, but that's another story. Hope everyone is well and happy. Char
