Charlene's Story
I always wanted to be a good wife & mother when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a fine idea. As it turns out, they were right.
Still don't do a good job at relieving stress. I am a "recovering perfectionist." I am a Type A Virgo!!! Bad combo to be or live with.
My husband is my hero because he has overcome so many raw deals in his life, but he continues to be a great person!
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Linda Schmaldinst, because she was my BFF before that phrase even existed..
I had a green parakeet named Pete. He was very friendly & a lot of fun except he loved to chew on the wallpaper because of the flour-paste on the back. Much later, we bought a American Red Cocker Spaniel the same day that we settled on our home in Saucon Valley. Great dog. Bad timing? Training a puppy while selling a house is not a good idea.
If I won $100 million, I'd give as little as possible to the US Treasury because they can't/won't live on a balanced ...Expand for more
budget!!! They are now spending our grandchildren's future!!! I'd some of it to charity after I checked out the ratio of administration cost to "good" deeds done, then spend the rest on my family, moving from Maryland and an Apple. Sick of working on a PC!!!.
I never had "style." Wore hand-me-downs, homemade clothes & things from Modern Maid. John bought me things from Junior Colony once he worked for Bethlehem Steel in the Research Dept. Only once bought something without looking at the price!
My best friend would tell you I'm kind & friendly, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as stand-offish.
I share my home with my first & only true love, which I find wonderful most of the time.
In 10 years, I hope to be living near my family. I'm going to get there by praying.
My first job was at Trojan Powder, where I got paid $360 per month to process data. What I remember most about it is how cold the rooms needed to be to keep the huge IBM machines running!.
