Charlene's Story
Life
After I graduated I moved to the Phoenix area to go to college and work. In 1965 I met my future husband, a professional, and we lived in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, and had one child, now 36, who has one child, my grandson Hunter, age 7. She was an elite figure skater in the 80's and trained in Colorado Springs. She left amateur skating after high school to attend ASU.She is a high school english teacher in the "Valley" and holds a Master's in Counseling degree. She is also the current Mrs. Phoenix. My husband and I divorced. I then met my last husband, who was 15 years my senior in North Scottsdale where he had retired in 1989, from Germany where he was Chairman and CEO of the German offices of an international company based in New York. merican Paint and American Quarter Horse show horses--reining, cutting, working cowhorse, roping horses.We also were collectors of Native American art and antique Navajo rugs. We also held wine tasting for friends and acquaintances far and near as he was also athird generation German winemaster. He passed away in Jan. 2003. I stay active, am interested in current events, am an avid reader of non-fiction, biographies and auto-biographies. I watch news and sports on TV--am a sports buff--watch football, basketball, baseball, tennis and golf--love it all. I am active in the Episcopal church, and I write and am involved in a couple of hobbies--am an accomplished gourmet cook and raise my own herbs. When my husband was still alive we regularly went to the driving range and played golf. I also love to entertain guests. I love to garden. I also love to travel.
