Charles's Story
Life
I was born in N. Carolina and my father was in the AIr Force (AF) and when I was 14 he retired from the AF and we moved to California. I graduated from Highlands HS in 68 and joined the AF that same year. I married in Mar 69 and my wife and I moved as follows: George AFB, Ca., Jun 70; McGuire AFB, NJ., Jun 71; Saigon, Vietnam Jun 72; Bolling AFB DC., May 73; Andersen AFB, Guam Jun 75; Norton AFB, CA., Dec 76; McClellan AFB, CA., Nov 80; Osan AB Korea, Nov 81; McClellan AFB, CA., Jan 83; Travis AFB, CA., Jun 85; McClellan AFB, CA., Oct 87; Soesterberg AB, NL., Oct 90; Wright-Patterson AFB, OH., Mar 92. at the time was in the AF and she had 2 children. When I retired from the AF in 92, I was the Superintendent of Investigations with the AF Office of Special Investigations. I was hired by the state of Ohio and worked there for 10 years. I completed my college degree (B.S. Social Psychology) in 94. I was divorced again in 97. In Feb 03, I resigned my job with the state of Ohio and became a civil servant with the AF and moved to San Antonio, TX. I am currently a Criminal Investigator with the AF and assigned to the AF Special Investigations Academy in Glynco, GA. As such, I am a field representative and live in TX. All my children are grown and reside in Ohio and in N.Carolina. I have 6 beautiful grandchildren.
