Charles's Story
I live in Wichita Falls, Texas. After graduation I attended Morraine Valley CC. In 1970 I enlisted in the Air Force and served as an Electrical Power Lineman. I married Janice Smith in 1971. In 1975 I enlisted in the Navy and was an Electricians Mate aboard a nuclear submarine. Any who, I got out and went to work as a lineman at Whiteman AFB, Mo. I transfered to Sheppard AFB, Tx., in 1984 to instruct airmen to be linemen. Yep, me a teacher, who'da thunk?
I then advanced to Course Supervisor, Course Developer, Electrical Flight Training Development Chief, and Electrical Flight Chief. I ended up retiring in 2009 as the Training Manager for the Structures (carpenters) and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal career fields. Along ...Expand for more
the way Jan and I had one daughter and three sons. I lost the love of my life in 2008. I remarried in 2009 to Rita McGlothlin. We enjoyed camping throughout the western U.S. and raising/taking care of Rita's five horses, three dogs and countless stray cats, armadillos, and possums,(all Rita's doing). I lost Rita in March of 2021. I'm tying up loose ends then hitting the road camping to see family and friends. I'm looking at northern family/friends in the summer and southern family/friends in the winter. Twenty winters in Chicago cured me of cold weather. I definitely like it hot. My schools include Henry Ford II Elementary, H. L. Richards High School, Morraine Valley CC and Wayland Baptist University. AND NOW FOR THE FUN!!!
